Fulton Competition opened its doors in 1972. Owner and Founder Gene Fulton began the business in a rented garage in Spartanburg, SC while working to build his own career as a Modified Eliminator drag racer in the IHRA and local drag racing circuits. Gene went on to win 5 IHRA World Championships before retiring his wheels in 1987 to concentrate on his engines full time. Fulton Competition now supplies engines to champion drag racers world wide.
